Located at 3015 Richmond, the UKD Center was acquired by the Foundation in January 1998.  Home to the Upper Kirby District offices and fifteen other 501(c) 3 charitable organizations, the building is located adjacent to Levy Park, a neighborhood public park. Upper Kirby Center - Green Mountain Energy Solar Panels
In April 2002, the Upper Kirby District Foundation, in partnership with Green Mountain Energy, placed 440 BP Solar panels on the roof of the Upper Kirby District Center.  The panels add up to approximately a 43 kilowatt system, making the UKD Center the second largest solar facility in Houston.

Upper Kirby Room
The Upper Kirby Room located in the Center is a 100-seat meeting room available to neighborhood associations, charitable organizations and Center tenants. Over the years the Upper Kirby Room has provided meeting space for anywhere from 800 to 900 individuals per month.

Future plans for the Upper Kirby Room include installation of state of the art audio/video equipment, remodeling of the kitchen and upgrading of furnishing.

The Upper Kirby District Regrets the Loss of Two Outstanding Volunteers

We at the Upper Kirby District extend our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of W. Michael Stephens and Natalie Woodruff. Michael Stephens, Attorney at Law, generously donated his time and expertise on numerous occasions for the betterment of the community. Natalie Woodruff, of Walter P. Moore, proudly served on the Upper Kirby District Foundation Board of Directors. The Upper Kirby District community is a better place today because of their efforts. Donations can be made on their behalf to the Upper Kirby YMCA Project. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
